PROMPT Like a Pro: Practical AI Prompting and Use for Educators is a hands-on workshop designed to help educators confidently and effectively use Generative AI in teaching, assessment, feedback, lesson preparation, and the development of learning materials. Rather than simply introducing AI concepts, the program focuses on practical prompting techniques that educators can immediately apply in their classrooms and academic work. Artificial Intelligence is already changing how students search for information, complete academic tasks, generate ideas, and interact with learning materials. For educators, choosing not to understand or adapt to these tools may eventually create a growing gap between how students use technology and how teachers design, facilitate, and evaluate learning. AI is already in the classroom—the question is whether educators are prepared to use it effectively, responsibly, and strategically. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on activities, participants will learn how to structure effective prompts, provide appropriate context and instructions, refine AI-generated outputs, and use Generative AI to create lesson plans, assessments, rubrics, case scenarios, feedback, instructional materials, and other educational resources.
