Basic Research Methods Workshop for the Health and Social Sciences: An AI-Integrated Approach

The program is a two-day intensive workshop designed to strengthen the participants' practical competencies in conducting, analyzing, and communicating research while responsibly integrating artificial intelligence into the research process. The program combines foundational research principles with practical applications of AI tools relevant to health and social science research. The workshop will focus on four major areas: (1) Data Analysis, including data organization, interpretation, presentation, and AI-assisted analytical applications; (2) Review of Related Literature, covering literature searching, evidence synthesis, source evaluation, and responsible AI-assisted literature review; (3) Manuscript Writing, emphasizing the systematic development, refinement, and presentation of research manuscripts with appropriate AI support; and (4) Research Ethics, Plagiarism, and AI Text Detectors, addressing academic integrity, ethical and transparent AI use, plagiarism prevention, citation practices, and the appropriate interpretation and limitations of AI-generated text detection tools. The sessions will be interactive and hands-on, with guided exercises and practical applications conducted alongside the lectures as the workshop progresses. Participants will have opportunities to apply the concepts and AI-assisted techniques to research-related tasks, promoting active learning and immediate application of the skills discussed. Upon successful completion of the two-day workshop, participants will receive two certificates: an International Certificate aligned with EQF Level 6 from Medic Pro International Academy Ltd., United Kingdom, and a Certificate of Completion from Accelerate CPD.
